The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a staged program encompassing a five-year period consisting of all regionally significant transportation improvements to all modes of travel in Palm Beach County. The TIP identifies transportation improvements funded by Federal, State and local sources in order to assist local governments with their transportation planning efforts.

The TIP is based on the Florida Department of Transportation’s FY 2018-2022 Work Program for Palm Beach County, and generally moves forward the projects in the time frame from previous TIPS. The FDOT Work Program and the TIP may be amended throughout the year due to unforeseen complications with identified projects and other factors. In addition to coordination with FDOT, the MPO develops the TIP in coordination with the Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners, the Port of Palm Beach, the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority and municipalities within the County.

The Draft TIP is available for public review and comment on the MPO website at www.PalmBeachMPO.org/TIP. Members of the public may offer comments by using an online form through June 13, 2017. Copies of the Draft TIP may be reviewed during regular business hours at the Palm Beach MPO office located at 2300 N. Jog Rd., 4th Floor, West Palm Beach, FL 33411. Public comments may also be mailed or delivered to the same MPO office address. Those wishing to speak during either the May 18 or June 15, 2017 MPO Governing Board meeting will be requested to complete a comment card at the start of the meeting to indicate the agenda item on which they wish to be heard. Questions may be addressed by calling the MPO office at 561.684.4170.

Persons who require special accommodations under the Americans With Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should call 561.684.4143 or email MBooth@PalmBeachMPO.org at least 5 business days in advance of the meeting. Hearing impaired individuals are requested to telephone the Florida Relay System at #711.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.

The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a staged program encompassing a five-year period consisting of all regionally significant transportation improvements to all modes of travel in Palm Beach County. The TIP identifies projects for maintaining and improving the transportation system funded by Federal, State and local sources in order to assist local governments with their transportation planning efforts. The TIP is based on and reflects the Florida Department of Transportation's FY 17-21 Work Program for Palm Beach County, and generally moves forward the projects in the time frame from previous TIPs. Highway, bus, rail, port, bike/ped and beautification projects are included.

The TIP is developed through a continuing, cooperative, comprehensive and coordinated effort involving the Florida Department of Transportation, the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, the Port of Palm Beach, South Florida Regional Transportation Authority and municipalities within the County. Consultation is also carried out with the Miami-Dade and Broward MPO's during the TIP development process. Please note that the identified projects may experience unforeseen complications and that the FDOT program and the TIP may be modified throughout the year to accommodate these issues.
