The municipalities of Lake Worth, Lantana and Hypoluxo will be the focus of the July public events for the MPO's mobility study to recommend improvements for pedestrians, cyclists and transit users along the US-1 corridor.

The MPO study area is a 42-mile stretch of US-1 that extends from Boca Raton's Camino Real to Jupiter's Indiantown Road. The first workshop and charrettes were held in May for Section 1 (Boca Raton) and in June for Section 2 (Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and Gulf Stream).

The Saturday workshops include an introductory presentation, a walking tour to audit existing facilities and needs, followed by group design exercises and discussion. Refreshments and lunch are provided.

Each workshop is followed by a three-day open house design studio where local residents, business owners and officials can stop by to provide input and review planning progress.

Everyone who lives, works or travels along the US-1 corridor is also encouraged to take the following Transportation and Health Survey.
