The MPO study of potential improvements for pedestrians, cyclists and transit along a 42-mile stretch of US-1 began in May. The study area extends from Boca Raton's Camino Real to Jupiter's Indiantown Road. The first workshop and charrettes were held in early May for Section 1 in Boca Raton.

The Saturday workshops include an introductory presentation, a walking tour to audit existing facilities and needs, followed by group design exercises and discussion.

Each workshop is followed by a three-day open house design studio where local residents, business owners and officials can stop by to provide input and review planning progress.
