MPO Funded Water Taxi Dock Facilities Ready for Business

Eight new water taxi dock facilities funded by the MPO are expanding opportunities for tourists and residents to make their trips as interesting as their destinations. An increasing number of urban centers, festivals, special events and natural areas have the potential to be accessed by water taxis traveling between multiple destinations. In addition to providing leisurely and scenic travel, water taxi travel provides real transportation benefits.

The Metropolitan Planning Organization Board responded enthusiastically to a July 2012 presentation on the new water taxi dock facilities funded through the MPO, and requested a follow-up discussion at a future meeting. When scheduled, details of that meeting and related information will be posted on this page.
